I am currently spending time hoping and praying that the events which will soon transpire in the Terri Shiavo case will transpire in a way most beneficial to Terri. I am hoping that what is best for Terri is what will indeed take place. Not what is best for her husband, or what her husband thinks is best for her. Not what is best for her family, nor what her family thinks is best for her. And, certainly not what is best for anyone’s political agenda. I am hoping for what is best for Terri. I do not pretend to know what that is.
Here is some basic ‘IF/AND/THEN’ logic, however: IF Terri Schiavo dies AND it is indeed not what she wanted THEN all who have condoned the restriction of food and water from Terri Schiavo have in fact condoned murder. I doubt that I, personally, would be comfortable with that gamble were it my call to make.
That is all. Those are my thoughts right now.
